Drug Formulation

Beijing-grown Curcuma zedoaria (roasted, chopped) 1 liang, Stone Curcuma zedoaria (roasted, chopped) 1 liang,Chicken-Claw-Shaped Curcuma (roasted, coarsely chopped) 1 liang, Frankincense 1 liang, Areca Nut (coarsely chopped) 1 liang, Cardamom (shelled) half a liang, Croton Seed (peeled, with inner membrane removed; decocted until golden and all oil is extracted) 1 fen, Realgar (ground) 1 fen.

Processing

Take the above 8 ingredients; pound and sift 6 of them into a fine powder, then mix thoroughly with the croton seed ash and ground realgar. Form into pills the size of small beans using a paste made from flour boiled in vinegar.

Instructions for Use

Take 5–7 pills per dose; for men, swallow with ginger soup; for women, swallow with vinegar soup; for abdominal masses and stagnant qi, swallow with a decoction of wood fragrant.
