Drug Formulation

2 liang of White Flower Snake, 2 liang of Black Snake (both soaked in wine, skinned and deboned, then dried in an oven), 30 liang of white honey, 6 liang of ginger juice, 6 liang of peppermint juice, 1 liang of white silkworm pupae (roasted), 1 liang of dried scorpion (cleaned of dirt, roasted), 1 liang of Sophora flavescens, and 3 fen of white aconite root (roasted).

Processing

Take the above 9 ingredients; pound and sift 6 of them into a fine powder. First, add the honey, ginger juice, and mint juice; then add the powdered herbs, mix thoroughly, and simmer in a silver pot over a double boiler until reduced to a decoction.
