Drug Formulation

3 liang of White Fresh Bark, 5 liang of dried Pueraria root, 3 liang of Scutellaria root, 3 liang of Curcuma, 5 liang of fermented soybeans, 10 Gardenia fruits, and 6 liang of sodium silicate.

Instructions for Use

Boil 8 sheng of water until reduced to 2.5 sheng; strain out the residue, add芒消, and divide the decoction into three doses to be taken warm. Wait until the time it takes to walk 20 li, then take another dose of this decoction; this should induce a bowel movement. After the bowel movement, rest for 1–2 days, then take the Huanglian Pills.
