Drug Formulation

Half a jin of deer antler gelatin (chopped into bean-sized pieces; mix with deer antler powder and stir-fry until pearl-like, then grind into a fine powder), 3 liang of Eucommia bark (remove coarse bark, chop finely, and stir-fry with 1 liang of ginger juice and a small amount of honey until the fibers break), 2 liang of dried Chinese yam, 2 liang of white Poria (remove coarse bark, mix with human milk, and sun-dry; repeat this process 5–7 times),2 liang of Prepared Rehmannia Root, 1.5 liang of Dodder Seed (steamed with wine, pounded, and roasted), 1.5 liang of Cornus Fruit pulp, 1 liang of Northern Schisandra Berry, 1 liang of Sichuan Achyranthes Root (stem removed, steamed with wine), 1 liang of Amomum Seed (shell removed), 1 liang of Polygala Root (boiled in rice water, bones removed),Fennel seeds (stir-fried with 3 qian of green salt) 1 liang, Sichuan melia fruit (peeled, pitted, and the clean flesh roasted in clarified butter) 1 liang,Sichuan Morinda (soaked in wine, core removed) 1 liang, Polygonum multiflorum (broken) 1 liang, Fenugreek (boiled together with Polygonum multiflorum in sheep intestine, then dried in an oven) 1 liang, Cypress seed (shelled, ground separately into a paste) half a liang, Sichuan Tortoise Shell (roasted with ghee) 3 qian, Agarwood 3 qian, Whole Scorpion (detoxified) 1.5 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Take 4 liang of high-quality, tender Cistanche (washed with wine, scales and skin removed, center opened; if there is a yellowish-white membrane, remove it as well, yielding 2 liang of clean Cistanche), boil it with fine wine until it becomes a paste, then mix the paste with refined honey and the powdered medicine. Pound the mixture over a thousand times to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with light Qiushi Decoction or warm wine, followed by a light meal. Gradually increase the dose to 100 pills. After 7 days of treatment, the limbs will appear lustrous, the lips and cheeks will be rosy, the hands and feet will feel warm, and the complexion will be radiant.
