Drug Formulation

8 liang of Da Yuan Sheng Di (wash thoroughly with clean water; place in an earthenware jar; boil in water for one day and one night; then steam and sun-dry nine times; bake until dry), 4 liang of Cornus officinalis fruit (stir-fried with wine), 4 liang of Chinese yam (mixed with milk, steamed, and sun-dried), 3 liang of Moutan bark (stir-fried with wine),3 liang of Poria (mixed with milk, steamed, and sun-dried), 3 liang of Alisma (stir-fried in salt water), 4 liang of Angelica root (stir-fried in wine), 2 liang of Achyranthes root (stir-fried), 2 liang of Eucommia bark (stir-fried in salt water), 2 liang of Dipsacus root (stir-fried in salt water),Goji berries 4 liang (mixed with wine, steamed, then stir-fried), Schisandra berries 2 liang (stir-fried), Ligustrum berries 3 liang (steamed in salt water, then stir-fried), Plantain seeds 2 liang (stir-fried), Rubus fruit 3 liang (washed in salt water, sun-dried, then stir-fried), Placenta 1 unit (soaked and washed in a decoction of licorice, blood vessels and tendons removed, boiled until soft, then pounded or baked dry and ground).
