Drug Formulation

10 jin of Atractylodes (soak in rice wash overnight, peel, pound into a paste, boil in a large pot over alternating high and low heat with 2 buckets of water until reduced to about 10+ bowls; remove, let cool, strain through silk to remove residue, transfer to a porcelain jar, and add the remaining herbs), 4 liang of Ginseng, 4 liang of Raw Rehmannia, 4 liang of Prepared Rehmannia, 4 liang of Phellodendron, 4 liang of Polygala,4 liang of Eucommia (roasted), 4 liang of Chuanxiong, 4 liang of walnut meat, 4 liang of Sichuan pepper, 4 liang of Poguzhi, 2 liang of crushed rock salt, 1 liang of crushed cinnabar, 4 liang of Angelica sinensis, 2 bowls of Huanliancao (extracted juice), 2 jin of honey, and 4 liang of ginger juice.

Processing

Combine all the above herbs with the Atractylodes paste prepared earlier, seal tightly in a porcelain jar, and boil in a large pot of water until the aroma lasts for two incense sticks. Remove and bury in the ground for seven days.

Take 1 zhan per dose, washed down with 1 zhan of wine or plain hot water on an empty stomach.
