Drug Formulation

Cicada Shell 1 fen (lightly roasted), Dried Scorpion half fen (lightly roasted), Cinnabar 1 fen (finely ground),1 fen of musk (finely ground), 1 fen of realgar (finely ground), half a liang of indigo powder (finely ground), half a fen of borneol (finely ground), 1 qian of talcum powder (ground), 5 dung beetles (wings and legs removed, lightly roasted until pale yellow), half a fen of ox bile (finely ground), 3 fen of black snake (soaked in wine, bones removed, lightly roasted until pale yellow),1 toad head (coated with butter, lightly roasted until pale yellow), 1 fen of sweet shepherd’s purse (roasted through paper until purple), 10 croton seeds (peeled and pitted, ground, then wrapped in paper and pressed to remove oil).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with the ground ingredients, and form into pills the size of a millet seed using pig bile.
