Drug Formulation

Brocade-patterned rhubarb (steamed 9 times, sun-dried, and roasted), musk 1 qian; Guan Zhong, soapberry (peeled and vinegar-roasted), peach kernels 3 qian (roasted); areca nut 1 liang; Lei Wan 1 liang; softshell turtle shell (vinegar-roasted until yellow) 1 liang; Chinese bayberry 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. First, take 2 liang of mugwort leaves, 7 leaves each of peach, willow, plum, and mulberry (all from the eastern side), and 1 bowl of water; decoct until reduced, strain out the residue, add 1 zhan of honey, and simmer again until it becomes a paste. Add the prepared medicinal powder and benzoin, then pound into pills the size of a paulownia seed.
