Drug Formulation

Ingredients: 3 dou of glutinous rice (rinse thoroughly to remove sand, cook into rice, sun-dry, and sift through a muslin sieve); 3 dou of apricot kernels (remove the tips and skins; for those with two kernels per seed, sun-dry, pound, grind with 5 sheng of water, and strain to extract the juice until no flavor remains).

Processing

First, boil the almond juice until it reaches the consistency of thin flour paste. Place it in a copper vessel, add the glutinous rice flour to the consistency of thin porridge, and simmer over low heat from dawn until dusk, stirring continuously without stopping. When all the moisture has evaporated, remove it, air-dry in the shade, and store in paper.

Instructions for Use

To use, heat 2 liters of water until warm, add a portion of the medicine the size of a chicken egg, place it in the water, and let it sit for the duration of one cooking cycle; then take as much as desired and consume it.
