Drug Formulation
2 liang of garlic, 2 liang of Cyperus rotundus, 2 liang of rhubarb, 2 liang of raw Sichuan aconite, 2 liang of Acorus tatarinowii, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 2 liang of Curcuma zedoaria, 2 liang of raw pangolin scales, 2 liang of Angelica dahurica, 2 liang of Schisandra chinensis seeds, 2 liang of Magnolia officinalis, 2 liang of castor beans, 2 liang of Euphorbia lathyris, 2 liang of raw Aconitum carmichaeli,2 liang of dung beetle, 2 liang of Coptis chinensis.

Processing
Crush the above herbs as appropriate, deep-fry them in 240 liang of sesame oil until charred, remove the residue and filter the oil, then refine it until a drop of oil forms a bead. Add 100 liang of orpiment and stir evenly to form a paste. Immerse the paste in water to remove the heat toxicity, then reheat to melt it. Separately, mix in 1 liang 2 qian of frankincense, 1 liang 2 qian of myrrh, 1 liang 2 qian of aloe, 1 liang 2 qian of dragon’s blood, 8 liang of asafoetida,6 liang of camphor, and 6 liang of realgar. Grind these eight ingredients into a fine powder and sift through a sieve. For every 16 liang of ointment, mix in 5 qian of the powdered medicine, stir well, and apply as a poultice.

Instructions for Use
For each large patch, use 4 qian of oil; for a small patch, 2 qian. Coat with cloth. Melt over low heat until liquid, then apply to the navel.
