Benefits

For consumptive debility, severe physical trauma, senile decline, emaciation, hemiplegia, rheumatic numbness, cold-induced arthralgia, abdominal masses, malignant sores, boils, abscesses, swellings, and leprosy; in severe cases, suppuration throughout the body, gangrene of the nasal bridge, impotence, deafness, and dim vision.

Instructions for Use

Take one fangcun bi per dose after meals, three times a day; the course may extend to 10 doses.Particularly effective for children. It is even more beneficial when taken as pills mixed with pine resin or honey. Alternatively, pound the ingredients to extract the juice, then simmer over low heat until reduced to 5 dou; add 1 dou of white honey and 2 sheng of roasted ground sesame seeds, and simmer together, stirring constantly without stopping. Once the mixture is ready to form into pills, place it over direct heat; otherwise, mix the mixture with ground soybean meal to form cakes, each 3 cun in diameter and half a cun thick. Take one cake three times daily. It may also be brewed into wine for consumption.
