Drug Formulation
3 liang of Astragalus, 3 liang of Licorice, 3 liang of Ophiopogon, 3 liang of Scutellaria, 3 liang of Peony, 2 liang of Angelica, 2 liang of Ginseng, 2 liang of Gypsum, 2 liang of Ligusticum, 2 liang of Pinellia, 5 liang of Fresh Ginger, 8 liang of Raw Rehmannia, 30 jujubes, and a handful of Bamboo Leaves.

Benefits
For boils and abscesses on the back. These conditions result from deficiency of qi and blood, combined with excessive stomach fire, leading to thirst and dry retching.
Instructions for Use
Coarsely crush the ingredients. Use 1 dou 2 sheng of water; first boil the bamboo leaves, reduce to 2 sheng, strain out the residue, then add the herbs and boil until reduced to 3 sheng. Divide into 4 doses, spaced apart by the time it takes a person to walk 30 li, with a light meal in between. Take 3 times daily and once at night.
Note
Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, mutton, and malt syrup.
