Drug Formulation

Pearl (roasted with tofu) 5 qian, musk 2 qian 5 fen, bear bile 2 liang, borneol 16 liang 2 qian, realgar 1 qian, glycyrrhiza (calcined) 16 liang 5 qian, oyster shell (calcined) 10 liang, cuttlefish bone (shell removed) 9 liang 4 qian 5 fen.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder, sift through a sieve, mix thoroughly, and fill into bottles weighing 1 fen 3 li. Ointment: Add 640 liang of petroleum jelly and 64 liang of liquid paraffin; mix thoroughly, then fill into tubes, each weighing 4 fen.

Instructions for Use

Using a glass needle dipped in cold boiled water, apply a drop to the inner corner of the eye; then dip the needle in a small amount of the powdered medicine (about the size of a grain of rice) and apply it to the inner corner of the eye, 2–3 times daily; for the ointment, squeeze out a small amount and apply it to the inner corner of the eye.
