Drug Formulation

1 qian of cattail pollen, 1 qian of indigo powder (as used by painters), 1 qian of soft gypsum (calcined), 1 qian of borax (bright-colored), 1 qian of licorice, 2 fen of borneol, and 1 qian of Xuanming powder or Yanxiao (light-colored).

Grind each ingredient into an extremely fine powder, then mix thoroughly with borneol.

Instructions for Use

Frequently sprinkle into the throat and swallow; if the throat is constricted, blow the mixture in through a reed tube. Alternatively, mix with honey to form pills and let them dissolve in the mouth.
