Drug Formulation
1 large eel, 1 old earthenware urinal (first soak in a decoction of licorice and black soybeans for 7 days, then change the liquid and repeat this process 7 times).

Processing
If the eel weighs more than one jin, keep it in clean water for 5 days, then place it in the chamber pot. Seal the opening with bamboo strips, coat it thickly with yellow clay, and calcine it over a charcoal fire. After half a zhou of time, allow it to cool, then break it open to extract the eel alkali and charcoal. Grind them to a very fine powder, mix with boiled jujubes (peeled and pitted), and form into pills; this is the Black Divine Pill.Alternatively, after sealing the opening with bamboo leaves, simmer in a double boiler for two days and nights; remove and grind to a very fine powder. Mix with eel that has been pounded to a paste to form pills; this is known as the “White Divine Pill.”
