Formulas Name : Amber, Wax, and Alum Pills
Chinese Name : 琥珀蜡矾丸
Drug Formulation
1 liang 2 qian of white alum, 1 liang of beeswax, 1 qian 2 fen of realgar, 1 qian of amber (ground separately to a very fine powder), 1 qian 2 fen of cinnabar, and 2 qian of honey (added at the last moment).

Processing
First, grind the first four ingredients into a very fine powder. Separately, melt the beeswax in a copper ladle; remove from heat for a short while, and when the edges of the wax have slightly solidified, add the powdered ingredients and stir until well blended. Form the mixture into a single mass. Have one person gently warm the mixture over a low flame while others quickly roll it into pills the size of small black beans. Coat the pills with cinnabar and store them in a porcelain jar.
