Instructions for Use

Every morning and evening, or upon leaving the patient’s room after an examination, first hold water in the mouth, inhale a small amount through both nostrils to induce a sneeze—it is best if clear nasal discharge is expelled—then omit the soapberry and form the mixture into small pills, which may also be held in the mouth and chewed. For livestock afflicted with plague, blow the powder into both nostrils, and they will be cured immediately.
