Drug Formulation
1 black sheep liver (slice with a bamboo knife, spread out in a porcelain basin, coat with sheep bile, dry in the sun, then coat again; repeat this process 30–50 times—the more times, the better. In summer, cover with a thin silk cloth to prevent contamination by flies; dry in the sun and set aside for use), 6 liang of prepared Rehmannia root (steamed), 4 liang of Angelica sinensis (soaked in wine),Chuanxiong 4 liang, White Peony Root (wine-fried) 4 liang, He Shou Wu (prepared according to standard method) 4 liang, Huanliancao (steamed according to standard method) 4 liang, Rubus Fruit (fried) 3 liang, Cornus Fruit pulp 3 liang, White Poria (soaked in human milk, sun-dried and exposed to night dew until dry) 4 liang, Raw Rehmannia Root (soaked in wine overnight, then sun-dried) 4 liang,Human hair (preferably from young adults, children of both sexes, or one’s own hair; up to 1–2 jin; wash thoroughly with soapberry decoction, then wash again with coix seed and pepper decoction; sun-dry; place in a sand pot; burn to ash over charcoal; leave on the ground for 3 days to remove the heat toxicity; collect and grind into a fine powder) 3 liang.

Processing
Except for the human hair ash, which is not ground, grind all the other ingredients into a fine powder. Separately, take 12 liang of prepared rehmannia root, boil it in wine to produce 2 bowls of concentrated decoction, and use this as a paste to form pills the size of a tung tree seed.
Instructions for Use
Take 80–90 pills on an empty stomach and 50 pills before bedtime, washed down with wine.
