Drug Formulation
Ginseng (stem removed) 8 jin, deer antler gelatin 8 jin, raw white peony root 8 jin, angelica root 9 jin, raw oyster shell 3 jin, licorice root 2 jin, raw astragalus root 2 jin, softshell turtle shell (vinegar-processed) 4 jin, salvia root 8 jin, cyperus rhizome (vinegar-processed) 8 jin,Asparagus Root 4 jin, Mulberry Cuttlefish Bone 3 jin, Black-Bone Chickens 32 (thoroughly plucked, gutted, and with claw tips removed; net weight must not be less than 42 jin).

Processing
Place the above herbs in a jar (or a rust-proof barrel) containing 84 jin of Shaoxing wine; seal the jar tightly and steam it over water until the wine is completely evaporated. Then add the following: 3 jin of deer antler powder, 16 jin of prepared rehmannia root, 16 jin of raw rehmannia root, 4 jin of chuanxiong, 1 jin 10 liang of silver chaihu,Euryale seed (fried with wheat bran) 4 jin, and raw Chinese yam 8 jin; grind these into a coarse powder, then mix them thoroughly with the steamed herbal mixture, stir well, and sun-dry. Grind the entire mixture into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills weighing 3 qian 5 fen each, and seal them in wax-coated paper or wax paper tubes.
