Drug Formulation

1 jin of black lead, 3 liang of licorice (lightly roasted).

Benefits

For back abscesses and various toxic boils that have spread to the brain, causing pain and ulceration.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 dou of wine and place it beside an empty bottle. First, place the licorice root inside the wine bottle, then melt the graphite and pour it into the wine bottle. Pour the wine into the empty bottle, remove the graphite, and repeat the process of melting and pouring. Do this nine times. Discard the licorice root and retain only the wine; have the patient drink it until intoxicated and put them to sleep.
