Drug Formulation

30 g of Tu Mu Xiang ointment, 20 g of Tu Mu Xiang, 90 g of Rubus stem (peeled and pith removed), 50 g of Polygonum cuspidatum (peeled), 20 g of wild ginger, 36 g of chebulic myrobalan (pitted), 40 g of amla, 20 g of hairy chebulic myrobalan (pitted), and 60 g of Perilla frutescens root.

Processing

Of the above 9 ingredients, except for the Tumu Xiang ointment, the remaining 8 ingredients (including Tumu Xiang) are ground into a coarse powder, sieved, and mixed thoroughly. Pills are formed using the Tumu Xiang ointment and water; after drying, the finished product is obtained, with each pill weighing 4g.

Instructions for Use

Prepare a decoction: soak the ingredients in approximately 400 mL of cold water for 1–2 hours, then decoct until reduced to about 300 mL. Drink the decoction while hot, taking 1–2 pills at a time, three times daily.

Note

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.
