Drug Formulation

Black Snake (soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted) half liang, Aconite (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed) half liang, Wulingzhi half liang, Notopterygium (root tip removed) half liang, Gastrodia (soaked in wine, sliced, and dried) half liang, Ox Bile (ground) 1 fen, Realgar (ground) 1 fen,Musk (ground) 1 fen, Dried Scorpion (cleaned of soil, stir-fried in wine) 1 fen, Tiannanxing (cracked by roasting, washed in hot water) 1 fen,Fragrant Ink (burned, quenched in vinegar, and ground) 3 fen, Du Huo (with root tip removed) 3 fen, Soapberry (free of worms, with skin and seeds removed, and roasted in ghee) 3 fen, White Aconite Root 3 pieces (cracked, washed in hot water), Tiger Bone (roasted in ghee) 1 liang, Black Beans 21 grains (first pounded into a paste with Aconite, then roasted).

Processing

Take the above 16 ingredients; pound and sift 13 of them into a fine powder. Add powdered ox bile, musk, and realgar, mix thoroughly, sift through a fine sieve once more, and mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 7 pills per dose, washed down with warm wine; gradually increase to 10 pills, taking one dose on an empty stomach, one at noon, and one before bedtime.
