Processing

Method 1: Take 1 jin of bone-setting herb leaves, pound them into a paste, add a small amount of alcohol, and stir-fry until they turn slightly yellow. Then add water and simmer over low heat for 6 to 8 hours. Squeeze out the medicinal juice, filter it, and mix it with 500 milliliters of 45% alcohol to prepare the medicinal wine for use.Method 2: Wash and chop the bone-setting herb leaves. Add water just to cover the herbs and decoct (2 hours for the first decoction, 1.5 hours for each subsequent decoction). Combine the filtrates, filter, and concentrate to the desired volume. Add 95% ethanol to the liquid to achieve an alcohol content of 50–60 degrees and a concentration ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Let stand for 24 hours, then filter to obtain the final product.

Instructions for Use

First, perform manual reduction. Then, apply a wet compress of Bone-Setting Herb tincture to the skin over the fracture site, secure it with a small splint, and apply traction if necessary. Daily, apply Bone-Setting Herb tincture to the gauze under the splint—50 mL for adults and 30 mL for children—1–2 times daily.
