Chinese Name : 酥粥

Drug Formulation

1 liang of genuine butter, 3 liang of talc (pounded to the size of sesame seeds), 2 liang of white Poria (pounded to the size of sesame seeds), 3–7 stalks of scallion whites (remove roots and leaves, finely chopped), 1 liang of fresh ginger (wrapped in damp paper, roasted over a charcoal fire, then finely chopped).

Instructions for Use

First, boil the four ingredients in 4 sheng of water until reduced to 2 sheng; strain through raw silk to remove the dregs and retain the clear liquid. Add 1 sheng of whey and 3 he of millet (thoroughly rinsed), then cook into porridge. When the porridge is nearly done, add the ghee, stir well, and cook until finished. Consume as desired on an empty stomach.
