Drug Formulation

2 centipedes, 10 whole scorpions (detoxified), 3 qian of Tiannanxing (prepare the above three ingredients as follows: place them in a porcelain vessel with half a zhan of fresh ginger juice and simmer over low heat until completely reduced; remove and bake until dry); 10 Jigangzi (remove the shells; use the live insects; grind them into a fine powder together with the previous ingredients; if the Jigangzi are already dry, grind them into a fine powder before use).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with hot water and snow cake to form pills the size of a mustard seed.

For a one-year-old child, administer 10 pills per dose; for a two-year-old, administer 15 pills, using a decoction of Qianjin San to help swallow them.
