Chinese Name : 鸡草汤

Drug Formulation

1 liang of Chicken Intestine Grass, 1 liang of white alum (crushed), 1 liang of Terminalia chebula bark, 1 liang of fennel seeds, 1 liang of Eclipta prostrata seeds, 1 liang of late silkworm sand, 1 liang of rock salt, 1 liang of madder root, 1 liang of soapberry, and half a liang of hemp (or rice bran).

Processing

Except for the alum, rock salt, fennel seeds, and silkworm sand, cut all other ingredients into pieces half a cun long. Place them in a clay jar, seal the opening with paper pulp and salt paste, and heat with half a scale of charcoal until completely calcined. Allow to cool, then remove and grind into a fine powder.

For toothache due to kidney deficiency.

Instructions for Use

Apply three liang to the teeth in the morning, after meals, and before bedtime; rinse your mouth shortly thereafter.
