Drug Formulation

1 fen of cloves, 1 fen of wood fragrant, 1 fen of agarwood (chopped), 1 fen of nutmeg (shelled), 1 fen of cinnamon (coarse bark removed), 1 fen of Beijing-grown cyperus (roasted, pounded into powder beforehand), 1 fen of angelica root (washed, sliced, and dried), 1 fen of aged tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and dried),Areca nut (chopped) 1 fen, Piper longum 1 fen, Aconite root (roasted until cracked, peel and pith removed) 1 fen, Benzoin (dissolved in wine, residue removed) 1 fen, Frankincense (wrapped in silk, dipped in hot water, allowed to dry, then ground) 1 fen,Realgar (sifted) 1 fen, Cinnabar (ground) 1 fen, Croton seeds 21 seeds (peeled, roasted in hot ash until purple, then ground).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with the benzoin and other ingredients, combine with a paste made from wine-boiled flour, and pound another 300–200 times. Form into pills the size of sesame seeds.
