Instructions for Use

Use a total of 20 jin of oil, divided into batches for decoction and reduction. Then add: 1 jin of lead powder (roasted), 4 liang of toseng, 4 liang of purified colophony, 1 liang of cinnabar, 1 liang of wood fragrant, 1 liang of amomum, 1 liang of cassia bark, 1 liang of cloves, 1 liang of sandalwood, 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of alum, 1 liang of mercury oxide, 1 liang of agarwood,processed frankincense 1 liang, processed myrrh 1 liang; separately prepare turtle glue and deer glue (steamed with wine until dissolved). After the elixir has set, stir until lukewarm; test with one drop—if it does not explode, add the glue and stir over a thousand times until uniform. Adding cassia bark and musk as carriers yields even better results.
