Drug Formulation

6 liang of Du Huo, 6 liang of Han Fang Ji, 6 liang of Ma Huang (knots removed), 6 liang of Fu Ling, 6 liang of Dan Shen, 6 liang of Niu Xi, 16 liang of Ci Shi (crushed), 6 liang of Huang Qi, 6 liang of Fang Feng, 6 liang of Ren Shen, 6 liang of Xi Jiao, 4 liang of Sheng Ma, 4 liang of Qing Mu Xiang,Cinnamon Bark 4 liang, Gypsum 14 liang (crushed), Evodia Fruit 8 liang, Fresh Ginger, Pinellia (washed), Areca Nut (large), Apricot Kernels, and Rhubarb (sliced).

Instructions for Use

Of the 21 ingredients listed above, pound or cut 16 of them into pieces the size of a bean, divide them into 30 portions, and mix them together to form one dose.Take 3 areca nuts and 1 liang of ginger, each cut with the skin on; 14 almonds (peeled and tips removed); boil with 2 sheng and 3 he of water until reduced to 7 he; strain out the residue; take in the late afternoon or at midnight, once daily; if symptoms are severe, take twice daily; may be taken as a single dose, or once every two days, or once every three days.

Note

Avoid raw scallions, vinegar-based foods, mutton, and malt syrup.
