Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Place it in a Yangcheng jar; first mix with honey and spread the cinnabar evenly on the bottom. Next, mix 5 qian of Ephedra sinica powder, 5 qian of Aconitum carmichaeli powder, and 5 qian of Euphorbia pekinensis powder with 5 qian of egg white until well blended, then spread this mixture over the cinnabar. Cover with the jar lid, secure with iron wire, seal tightly with salt mud, and air-dry in the shade.Dig a pit in the ground, bury the jar so that 5 fen is buried and 5 fen remains exposed, and calcine it over a fierce fire for one day and one night. Remove it from the cold furnace, grind it into a fine powder, and form it into pills the size of a water caltrop using Pinellia tuber paste mixed with vinegar. Coat them with talc to enhance their luster, and store them in a silver container.
