Drug Formulation
Placenta (preferably from the first pregnancy; wash away the connective tissue and dark blood, place in a small-mouthed earthenware jar with 1 qian of Sichuan pepper and half a cup of wine; seal the opening with bamboo leaves; simmer in a double boiler for one day, then remove the Sichuan pepper); 4 liang of raw Rehmannia root (simmer in a sandpot for one day with 6 qian of Amomum villosum and 1 liang of Poria cocos; remove the Amomum villosum and Poria cocos); 2 liang of Asparagus root (core removed);Eucommia bark (roasted until the fibers break) 2 liang, Angelica sinensis (washed with wine) 1 liang 5 qian, Ginseng 1 liang 5 qian, Schisandra berries 1 liang 5 qian, Ophiopogon tuber 1 liang 5 qian, Decayed turtle shell (soaked in wine for 3 days, black residue removed, then roasted) 3 liang, Achyranthes root 2 liang.
