Drug Formulation

1 raven (chopped, beak removed but claws retained), 1 fox liver (both ingredients must be from the twelfth lunar month; place them together with the raven in a porcelain jar, seal tightly with salt and mud, and bake gently over a charcoal fire until the jar turns reddish; remove and let cool before use), 1 liang of Tiannanxing (core removed, ground), Tianma, ni powder, scorpion, white Aconite, and stiff silkworm,1 fen of ox bile (ground separately), 1 liang of patchouli, 1 liang of silkworm cocoon (harvested in the twelfth lunar month), half a liang of musk (ground separately), and 1 liang of black snake (soaked in wine, head and tail discarded, flesh taken and roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, then mix thoroughly with the separately ground ingredients.

Instructions for Use

For acute wind-stroke, take 2 qian with wine; for paralysis caused by wind, take a second dose for immediate recovery; for regular use to dispel wind, take half a qian with warm wine.
