Chinese Name : 代赭石丸

Drug Formulation

Dai Zhe Shi (calcined, quenched in vinegar, ground), Magnetite (boiled in rice vinegar until it comes to a boil several times, dipped 7 times, ground), White Alum (calcined), Oyster Shell Ash, Dragon Bone (ground),Hedgehog Skin (roasted until charred), Soapberry Thorns (burned), Pig’s Hind Hoof Nails (burned, each retaining its inherent properties), Red Ocher, Sichuan Pepper (roasted), Equisetum (roasted), and Bee Hive (stir-fried)—each in equal parts.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then form into pills the size of a small bean using Shenqu paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with a decoction of mugwort and ginger taken before meals. For the site of bleeding, mix hot mugwort with dragon’s blood and pack it into the wound; change the dressing three times daily.
