Danggui Hua Decoction，*Compendium of Ophthalmology*, Volume 3.，In cases of internal cataracts caused by shock or tremors—whether from being struck by another person, suffering a blow, or falling from a height to a lower level—resulting in blurred vision lasting 2–3 years: the cataract may appear larger when viewed in dim light and smaller in bright light, with the patient unable to distinguish the three sources of light; or, in younger patients with small cloud-like opacities, the cataract may not appear significantly larger in dim light or smaller in bright light, yet the patient cannot see the three sources of light;The “Five Winds” manifest as five colors and are invariably accompanied by headaches. In some cases, excessive indulgence in alcohol and sexual activity may internally damage kidney qi, leading to “Blue Wind” cataracts. These present with neither itching nor pain, and vision is gradually lost. Since the eyes themselves are not physically damaged, the patient cannot see; over time, the pupil dilates and gradually turns blue.
