Drug Formulation
Lianma Seeds (processed with willow wood: grind with a mortar and pestle, sift through a horse-tail sieve, and retain the yellow kernel; discard the black shell. For every 10 liang, 4 liang of pure kernel can be obtained; the shell cannot be removed without a willow wood mortar and pestle).

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a powder. Take a pig’s liver, slice it thinly, and wrap the powder around it so that it adheres evenly. Roast over low heat until the liver is cooked, then grind it into a powder.

Instructions for Use
Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with a decoction of aged rice before bedtime. Another method involves boiling concentrated vinegar to make pills; take 20 pills per dose. Yet another method involves taking the inner sac of anise seeds, steaming it for one cooking cycle, drying it in the sun, and grinding it into a powder; this can be taken as a loose powder or mixed with honey to form pills, taken with warm water.
