Drug Formulation

Aged tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, roasted, ground separately, and sifted into a fine powder) 15 liang; Morinda root (core removed) 3 liang; Dendrobium (roots removed) 3 liang; Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, sliced, roasted) 3 liang; Cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, roasted) 3 liang; Deer antler (hair removed, roasted with wine) 3 liang;Dodder Seed (soaked in wine for 3 days, ground separately, and roasted) 3 liang, Eucommia Bark (coarse bark removed, roasted, and chopped) 3 liang, Yangqishi (soaked in wine, ground into a fine powder) 3 liang, Magnolia Bark (coarse bark removed, roasted with ginger juice) 3 liang, Aconite Root (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed) 3 liang,Eucommia Fruit (washed in boiling water, dried in an oven, and stir-fried) 3 liang, Angelica Root (sliced and dried in an oven) 3 liang, Dried Ginger (roasted) 3 liang, Beijing Curcuma (steamed and coarsely chopped) 3 liang, Smilax Rhizome 3 liang, Licorice Root (roasted and coarsely chopped) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. First, use five bowls of fine wine to simmer the orange peel powder in a silver or stone vessel until it becomes syrupy. Add the other herbs and stir until well blended. When the mixture begins to dry, add a small amount of wine and roll into pills the size of small beans.
