Bovine Bile 1 fen, Peony Root 1 fen, Apricot Kernel 1 fen (roasted, with skin and tip removed), Dung Beetle 1 fen, Bee Hive 1 fen, Scutellaria Root 1 fen, Ginseng 1 fen, Kudzu Root 1 fen, Licorice Root 1 fen (roasted), Cicada Shell 1 fen (roasted), Sodium Silicate 1 fen,Chuanxiong 1 fen, Cinnamon Bark 1 fen, Rhubarb 3 fen, Angelica Root 3 fen, Gypsum 4 fen (crushed) (one version includes 3 fen of fresh ginger and omits芒消).

Instructions for Use

Take the five internal organs and testicles of a pig; boil them in 1 dou of water until the volume is reduced to 3 sheng. Strain to remove the dregs and clarify the liquid. Add all the herbs and boil until the volume is reduced to 1 sheng 3 he. Strain again, add芒消, and dissolve it completely. Take 1 he per dose, three times a day and once at night, before bedtime. At bedtime, add ground牛黄 to the decoction.
