Drug Formulation

Pangolin scales (preferably from the tail or feet, thoroughly charred) 2 qian; Wulingzhi (pure) 2 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Next, mix 2 qian of croton seed (shelled and crushed) with the powdered mixture. Additionally, take 4 qian of garlic, remove 3–5 layers of the outer skin, and pound it in a sand mortar until it becomes a paste.

Instructions for Use

Form the mixture into a cake and insert it into the navel, securing it with a silk cloth. Warm the palm over a fire and apply it to the abdomen 8–9 times; when a faint rumbling sound is heard from the abdomen, the obstruction will be relieved.
