Drug Formulation

Poria 5 liang, Dried Ginger 6 liang (now doubled to 12 liang), Rhubarb 2 jin, Bupleurum 10 liang, Ligusticum 7 liang,Sichuan pepper 1 liang (sweated), sodium silicate 1 sheng (weighing 10 liang; now reduced by 5 he), apricot kernels 1 sheng (peeled and de-tipped), cornflower seeds 1 sheng, cinnamon bark 5 liang, aconite root 3 liang (roasted).

Instructions for Use

Of the above ingredients, Dried Ginger and Poria are not roasted; the rest are roasted, then pounded, sifted, and mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed. Take 7 pills with a drink, three times daily.

Note

Avoid pork, cold water, vinegar-based foods, and raw scallions.
