Formulas Name : Qingyang Decoction

Chinese Name : 清阳汤

Drug Formulation

Safflower 1 fen, Phellodendron bark (soaked in wine) 1 fen, Cinnamon twig 1 fen, Raw licorice 5 fen, Safflower wood 5 fen, Fried licorice 1 qian, Pueraria root 1 qian 5 fen, Angelica root (body) 2 qian, Cimicifuga root 2 qian, Astragalus root 2 qian.

Benefits

Tightness and stiffness in the mouth, cheeks, and jaw; intense heat in the stomach; profuse sweating; and frequent urination.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients and combine them into a single dose. Decoct in 3 large bowls of wine until reduced to 1 bowl and 3 fen; strain out the residue and take while still slightly warm before meals. After taking the decoction, apply heat to the tight, knotted areas.
