Chinese Name : 天南星煎

Drug Formulation

1 liang of Tiannanxing (lightly roasted), 1 liang of Bai Fuzi, half a liang of dried scorpion (roasted), 1 liang of white flower snake (soaked in wine, with skin and bones removed, then roasted until yellow), and half a liang of Tianma.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with two large cups of fine wine, stirring until uniform. Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until all the wine has evaporated. Next, add half a liang of fine cinnabar (finely ground and water-washed), 1 fen of talcum powder, half a qian of ox bile, half a qian of musk, and half a qian of borneol—all finely ground. Combine all these ingredients with the paste and mix thoroughly until it forms a paste of the consistency of a soapberry.

Take one pill per dose, dissolved in bamboo sap, at any time.
