Formulas Name : Decoction of Yellow Cow Gallbladder

Chinese Name : 黄牛胆煎

Drug Formulation

Half a he of yellow cow bile, half a he of carp bile, half a he of pig bile, half a he of sheep bile, 1 fen of bear bile, 1 fen of Hu Huanglian (pounded into powder), 1 fen of Huanglian (stems removed, ground into powder), 1 fen of Qinpi (pounded into powder), and 3 liang of white honey.

Processing

Combine the powdered Coptis, Qinpi, and Coptis chinensis with the white honey and bile extracts, mix thoroughly, and place the mixture in a porcelain jar. Seal the lid tightly with oiled cloth and tie it securely. Steam the jar in a rice steamer until the rice is cooked, then filter the mixture through fresh cotton.

Instructions for Use

Using a copper chopstick, take an amount the size of a sesame seed and apply it to the inner corner of the eye 2–3 times daily.
