Drug Formulation
Deer antler 10 jin (cut into half-cun lengths, soaked for 7 days; then use 1 jin of Epimedium, 4 liang of Angelica sinensis, and 2 liang of beeswax; boil according to the method, strain to form gelatin; roast the antler until dry to form powder, ready for use), 1 jin of deer antler gelatin, half a jin of deer antler powder, 4 liang of Asparagus root (core removed),Ophiopogon tuber (core removed) 4 liang, Phellodendron bark (stir-fried with salt and wine until brown) 4 liang, Anemarrhena rhizome (washed with wine, hair removed) 4 liang, Tiger leg bone (roasted with butter) 4 liang, Turtle shell (soaked in water, outer shell scraped off, roasted with butter) 4 liang, Goji berries 4 liang, Chinese yam 4 liang,Cistanche (washed with wine, white membrane removed) 4 liang, Poria (peeled) 4 liang, Cornus officinalis (pulp removed) 4 liang, Polygonum multiflorum (roasted) 4 liang, Raw Rehmannia (steamed with wine 9 times) 4 liang, Angelica sinensis (washed with wine) 4 liang, Cuscuta (boiled in wine, pounded into cakes, and dried) 6 liang,White Peony Root (stir-fried with wine) 3 liang, Achyranthes Root (stem removed, washed with wine) 3 liang, Eucommia Bark (stir-fried with ginger juice to remove fibers) 3 liang, Ginseng (root removed) 3 liang, White Atractylodes 3 liang, Schisandra Berry 2 liang, Sour Jujube Seed (stir-fried) 2 liang, Polygala Root (soaked in licorice decoction, pith removed) 2 liang, Sichuan Pepper 1 liang (seeds removed, baked to remove moisture).
