Drug Formulation

1 jin of ginger (peeled, sliced, salt-cured overnight, and dried in an oven); 1 qian of asafoetida (mixed with wheat flour to form a cake and roasted until golden); 2 liang of green tangerine peel (white pith removed, dried in an oven); 2 liang of licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped); 2 liang of aged tangerine peel (white pith removed, dried in an oven); 1 liang of angelica root (sliced, dried in an oven);1 liang of Angelica dahurica, 1 liang of black pepper, 1 liang of Curcuma zedoaria (roasted, coarsely chopped), 1 liang of cinnamon bark (with coarse outer bark removed), 1 qian of cinnabar (ground, for coating), 1 qian of wood fragrant, and 1 qian of cloves.

Processing

Except for cinnabar, grind all ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a cherry, and coat with cinnabar.

Take 1 pill at a time, chewed and swallowed with ginger soup; for women, take on an empty stomach before meals with vinegar soup.
