Drug Formulation

1 qian of ginseng, 5 qian of Atractylodes macrocephala (roasted with earth), 3 qian of Poria cocos, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (washed with wine), 1 liang of white peony root (roasted with wine), 0.5 fen of Fructus Aurantii (roasted), 3 grains of Amomum villosum (roasted and ground), 3 qian of Gardenia jasminoides (roasted), and 2 qian of mint.

Benefits

Used for depression during pregnancy, stagnation of liver qi, resulting in a suspended fetus, restless fetal movements, and tightness and pain in both flanks, as if a bowstring were being drawn.

Instructions for Use

Decoct in water and take orally. After one dose, the oppression and pain subside; after two doses, the suspended fetus stabilizes; and after three doses, the condition is fully resolved. Omit Gardenia, and take several more doses to prevent recurrence.
