Chinese Name : 神圣辰砂南星丹

Drug Formulation

49 Tiannanxing (of average size), 49 live scorpions (collected on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month).

Processing

Place the above ingredients together in a clay vessel, seal the exterior tightly with salt mud, and suspend it in a clean room. Remove it on the Day of the Twelfth Lunar Month. Select the Tiannanxing that have been stung by scorpions (verified by the presence of small holes), soak the usable Tiannanxing in wine overnight, bake them dry, and grind into a fine powder. Then take 1 fen of high-quality cinnabar,1 qian each of genuine ox bile, musk, and borneol, all finely ground. Mix them thoroughly, then use ginger juice to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 1–2 pills per dose, dissolved in a decoction of ginseng and mint, regardless of the time of day.
