This cold qi enters the Triple Burner and transmits to the spleen and stomach; when the spleen and stomach are affected by cold, they cannot digest food and drink, leading to a conflict between genuine and pathogenic factors,weakness of the intestines and stomach, vomiting and diarrhea, pain in the epigastrium and abdomen, cholera-like qi reversal, fever, headache, body aches, restlessness due to deficiency, or cramping, stiffness, and pain, cold extremities, a pulse on the verge of disappearing, or agitation, confusion, and a sense of impending death.

Processing
First, use 4 liang of ginger juice to pound the Coptis and Magnolia bark together until finely ground; stir-fry until black, then add the Elsholtzia and white cowpea, and grind all into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use
Take 5 qian per dose; boil with 1 zhan of water and 1 zhan of wine until reduced to 1 zhan. Transfer to a porcelain bottle, seal with waxed paper, and submerge at the bottom of a well. Wait until it is extremely cold, then take both doses at once.
