Drug Formulation

4 liang of Bupleurum (stem removed), 2 liang of Trichosanthes root, 1.5 liang of Cinnamon Twig, 1 liang of Oyster Shell (roasted), 1 liang of Dried Ginger (roasted), and 1 liang of Licorice (roasted).

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame seeds or beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; boil with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 7 fen; strain and take while warm. The first dose may cause slight restlessness; after the second dose, sweating will occur and the patient will recover.
