Drug Formulation

Lychee Grass (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang, Triangular Tip (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang, Motherwort (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang, Clear Wind Vine (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang, Schisandra Berry (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang, Black Spirit Stone (calcined with vinegar, powdered) 1 liang,Millet husks 1 liang, Chebulic myrobalan pulp 1 liang, Dragon Bone 1 liang, Oyster shell 1 liang.

Processing

Except for Xuanjing, Dragon Bone, and Oyster Shell, first simmer the remaining seven ingredients in 2 jin of sesame oil until charred, strain out the residue, and continue simmering until the mixture does not disperse when a drop of water is added. Then stir in 12 liang of roasted black lead powder. Remove from heat and allow to cool, then gradually mix in the first three types of powder. Spread the mixture on coarse leather; dog skin may also be used.
