Drug Formulation

1 liang of Dog’s-spine (hairs removed), 1 liang of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 1 liang of Astragalus membranaceus, 1 liang of Smilax glabra, 1 liang of Achyranthes bidentata (stems removed), 1 liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 1 liang of Angelica pubescens (root base removed), and 1 piece of Aconite root (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed).

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame seeds or beans.

Instructions for Use

Soak in 1 dou of wine, place in a bottle, seal tightly, and simmer in a double boiler for 3 shí. Remove. If cold, warm immediately and take 1 zhan, regardless of the time of day.
